This page explains how to delete your account in Waylo, the app for meeting people waiting in the same place. You can delete it in the app or, if you no longer have the app, by email.

In the app

Open Waylo and go to the Me tab.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Confirm with Delete.

You’re signed out straight away, and your profile disappears from every lobby at once.

Without the app

Email kowais915@gmail.com from the email address on your account, or include the phone number you sign in with. Write “Delete my Waylo account”. We may ask you to confirm a one-time code so nobody else can delete your account. We reply within 7 days.

What we delete

Your profile: name, photo, bio, interests and vibes
Your sign-in details: phone number, email address and linked Apple or Google sign-in
Your kept connections and any kept chat history
Your trusted contact and privacy settings
Your home crews (the people you started or joined home parties with)
Your check-in history

Everything is removed from our live systems within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days.

What we keep, and for how long

Safety reports you made, or that were made about you, along with the messages attached to them. We keep these for up to 2 years, or longer if the law requires it, so we can stop banned people coming back and help the authorities if someone was harmed.
Purchase records for Waylo Plus, for as long as tax and accounting law requires (usually up to 7 years). These don’t include your profile or messages.
Anonymous statistics, such as how many people checked in at a place. These can’t be linked back to you.

Chats, rooms, games and waves are already deleted at the end of each visit, so there is nothing else to remove.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a Plus subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it in your store settings first so you’re not charged again.

Only want to delete some data?

You don’t have to delete your whole account. In the app you can remove a kept connection, hide your photo or zone, or clear your trusted contact. To delete anything else, email kowais915@gmail.com.
